Just another manic Wednesday.

Today was not exactly the best day. I got a haircut that went... differently from what I planned and I'm still unsure of what to do with it. For now I'll just wear it in a ponytail. But I sat out in the sun (because my mom won't let us cut hair inside) for an hour and a half and didn't eat anything until 2:00. At that point I couldn't get lunch with my brother as planned and instead ate a bowl of Cheerios for "breakfast" while making my lunch to take to work. Luckily work was the highlight of my day. I won Skittles from a drawing. And I got my Dark Knight Rises tickets. After work we and saw Hugo at the park, but we all were forced to cram and share blankets. My neck went crazy from us trying to smoosh together and see the screen. Oh, and I bought the cats a litter box and cat treats. They latched on to my fingers and wouldn't stop clawing my legs for more treats. I ran inside and hid.

It's the middle of June?

I'd like you all to imagine creaky, dusty, dying noises. That is the world of my blogging (and blogging in general nowadays, sadly enough).

One of the only perks about living back in Utah County (which, in my opinion, there aren't many) is In-N-Out. For sure.
This is what I eat when I go there.

This is what my brother eats...

Since you all probably see my Facebook, there really isn't anything extra to say. Kim got married (and I must say she looked ravishing) and I had the pleasure of waiting outside the temple. Even if it was sweat-worthy weather, being with all my close friends was the best thing ever. Especially since Matt had just barely gotten back from his mission two days prior.

Art City Days was last week. Petey, Matt and I went to the fireworks. I accidentally spilled root beer over one of our blankets, so we attempted to utilize what wasn't soaked in soda. We were still cold. And then when the others came (including Leslie), Dave tried to sneakily steal all of our blankets because he "had shorts on" and "needed the blanket the most." Then we were forced to eat more ice cream at the Lifferth's. I think we've all overdosed on ice cream because of them.

Last Sunday I had a flash illness. It was the first time in over a year and a half that I slept without medicine. Which was kind of nice, to be honest. But once I got over the crazy fever, I was set.

It was discovered that my records in the Church had been... misplaced. They kind of vanished from point A to point B. I kept joking that I'd have to get re-baptized. But not to worry, today they found them.

I found an old SLR (that's a film camera, if you don't know) camera at a yard sale for $4. I'll show you a picture one day. But it's pretty awesome looking, and hopefully it works. It probably will, because old school film cameras are like Nokia phones-- indestructible.

This week I had training for my job. As Petey puts it, I'm basically a glorified receptionist. I'm glad I have a job, because I just really wanted to contribute to society again. One week in Utah County and I can get a job, but nine months in Logan proved fruitless. Tsk tsk.

There's a kid in my ward who got called to the New Zealand mission, Chinese speaking. But because it's hard to get a visa for New Zealand, he got transferred to the Bronx temporarily. When I found this out, I was like: "Whaaaa?! Jealous pants!" and then I was like: "THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN TO ME!"

And then I get to thinking about how much I really do miss New York-- both upstate and the city. I've been to big foreign cities before (ex: Paris, London), but something about the Big Apple really was different and wonderful. New York City was charming. Not to mention it's a treasure trove of street photography, which is my favorite. Then there's upstate New York, which is beautiful, green, full of lakes, and bursting with awesome Italian food. And pizza. Such good pizza.

And maybe that's why I love Captain America so much. He's from Brooklyn, you know. And he wears Americana gear.
